We survived Cyber Monday, yay!

Our busiest day of the year is the same for all online retailers, and wow did we get hit.  We are blessed that our clients love us, and boy you showed us a LOT of love!

We did take a long holiday weekend for Thanksgiving, and prepared to go to work Monday and man the phones.  But OH NOES!  SNOWS! And it snowed both Monday AND Tuesday, clogging up our rural area.  We had to close the shop as no one made it in, and didn’t get to touch the mass of Cyber Monday orders until Wednesday morning!

This pile of packages waiting for the post office pickup truck were orders just from Monday, 12/2, taken at one point during the day on Wednesday.  Now it’s not a lot of packages for big companies, but this is what we usually do in a week, and this was one day.   Most of the big boxes are Tingler kits, the T2s, (our flagship violet wand kit ) with an XT 50 piece kit in the biggest box, and a T3 or so.  Some people are going to have fantastic Christmases!  Nothing lights up a face like a violet wand (heh).

The phones rang while we pulled orders, filled baskets, and wrapped and packaged, and the shop was a drift of white …packing peanuts. Emails didn’t get answered.  Phones didn’t get answered, as everyone was pulled to take care of orders only, to make up for the two days closed due to the weather.  But after a heroic effort from everyone here, we shipped on Wednesday afternoon and again on Friday.

And we did it.  Everything shipped. The only orders waiting to ship now are the ones that came in today.

We expect the upcoming weekend to have heavy sales volume (for us), and it will continue through Christmas.  The online shopping will not close, but reminder! ..our physical facility is closed from Dec 25-Jan 2 for the holiday.  Your orders will still process, but wont ship till after we open on Jan 2.

EDIT:

And um.now it is 12/13 and we are going to have another heavy weekend of orders…and its supposed to snow again.  At least its the weekend!

And spare a moment for good thoughts for a friend’s cat. Pets can mean a great deal to their owners.
