TES Violet Wand Extravaganza

Wow.  We were invited to attend Tesfest’ 40th anniversary LIGHT UP THE NIGHT VIOLET WAND EXTRAVAGANZA on Sunday July 3, at TESFEST 2011 in NJ.

Friends stayed the night Saturday night to drive up with us.  Sunday we pulled some new stuff to take with us, got our gear ready for the trip.  The drive was not long, and we arrived at the host hotel about 3 in the afternoon. After checking in we got some late lunch and began bumping into people we knew, some whom we haven’t seen for a long time.  We found the event host, Traveling Fool, in a room off the lobby and caught up with each other as the wand mavens started to gather and bring in their cartloads and handtrucks of gear and cases, anxiously waiting the ballroom to be re-staged for the night.

We set up between Darkelectric (President of the Violet Wand Guild) and Xavier, a presenter from the Eastern PA region.  13 violet wand experts set up stations in the space, and attendees began coming in.

The room was electric in more ways than one!  Attendees got to try wand gear themselves, or see it being done, or got expert supervision in use.  Traveling Fool met attendees who wanted to try a wand scene with an expert that played at their level.  Violet wand fireplay, branding, flogging, cupping; every violet wand technique was in practice at some point during the night.

There were more attendees at the VW extravaganza than in the regular dungeon playspace; after all, nothing draws a crowd like wand play! There were upwards of 20 wands running at one time and Uncle Abdul calculated there was more than 1,000,000 volts going!

It’s hard to describe the fun we had, except to try to relate what was going on.  I did one scene with a beautiful young lady, and I started just by giving her a light electrified massage, then progressed up to various glass electrodes.  Someone did take photos with permission, and I hope they show up somewhere, as her level of deep enjoyment was highly visible.  The gentleman who had taken the photos quietly described a variation to me and offered to come in, and by all means I welcomed him in, as it was a riotous idea!  He fed the young lady cake as I zapped her breasts, both our timing careful, but as the fork approached her mouth and zapped her lips and she tried to eat the icing, she just squealed and laughed and the attendees howled with laughter with her.  It was such an uplifting and fun moment. Thank you Bound n Servile and your big sister for allowing us to use you so deliciously!

Xavier showed me a trick for a ‘pickup sticks’ or ‘operation’ type game on another young lady, that he had learned from another member of the Violet Wand Guild.  Using reverse technique, he scattered plain Christmas tinsel strands all over her body and people took turns removing each piece with tweezers.  Sounds simple, but the devious ‘players’ of the game, started dragging the tinsel with may ‘oops!’, and ‘oh no, I dropped it!’ and having to go again until everyone was howling at their mistakes and her reactions.  She was awesome and laughing and squealing and gasping and just everything.

As always, Dralion took over the product demo-ing, showing people how to use our gear so they could try with each other and helping them get started playing with wands with their partners. We brought enough wands for people to play with, and if a member of the Guild they could sign equipment out for the night.   I get in my head as the positive energy in the room was very high.  Darkelectric brought gear from various violet wand companies and for once he had a break from playing with people and got to talk about gear, as people usually line up 10 deep to play with him. If you ever have a chance, watch his wand work, or Traveling Fool’s sensuous art of getting the violet wand orgasm, or Xavier’s devious fun.

Other high points:  Being with respected colleagues who have become such good friends over the years, everyone from the honored Uncle Abdul to the newer but quite competent demonstrators.  (It was awesome that Unc could make it East!  His station was down the row from mine so I missed the chance to watch him!  We were all in that room due to him, really.)  Seeing very old friends we haven’t seen in ages.  And sitting and communing afterward as we came ‘down’ from our energized highs to hash new ideas and brainstorm with other experts who were present.

Thanks so much to Traveling Fool and Maryanne for organizing, and inviting us, and being such wonderful hosts for the night!  <3
