BDSM And Europe

I’ve written at some length about my experiences in Europe in the late 1970s.

Violet wands and I go way back, and I’ve met a few people over the years who discovered them in the same places at around the same time and in similar circumstances.  US service people, both civilians and military who discovered Europe’s red light districts post-Vietnam as they rotated in and out of the war theater.  Those red light districts were mind blowing. I saw a violet ray used in a Frankfurt S&M parlor and never let go. I brought my first two High frequency violet rays back with me to the states when I returned in 1978.  Though I played with them over the next 20 years at this writing and continuously extolled their virtues, I did not consider manufacturing until meeting my beloved Dralion who shared a love of the old ones, and more than that…he knew how to affect a complete restoration including reverse engineering all the parts.

It was..and is..a match made in heaven.

We began in the late 1990s by restoring old violet rays.  Rewiring, rebuilding, and restoring to make them safe and functional. There were no electrical standards when violet rays were made, and making them safe meant replacing wiring that was 70 years old, stabilizing electrical coils, grounding them, as well as restoring them to original beauty and functionality.

It was a continually evolving process.  As we built for friends and then for friends of friends, we grew.  Our client list lengthened and the wish lists of our clients grew.  They began asking for ‘new’, and so we set out on the road to manufacturing..soliciting investors, learning new skills and building a successful and innovative, quality business. Demand for us to teach was a deluge since Uncle Abdul and we were the only ones teaching the art of the violet wand to people hungry for the new knowledge.   We trained demonstrators, we put out products for testing, and continued to grow.

We were there at the birth of the International Violet Wand Guild, a group of users and demonstrators who formed the organization to set standards, dispel myths, archive the history of the wand, and teach techniques.

And more than 30 years later after meeting my first violet ray, we’re still the largest, the oldest, the most innovative, and highest quality. Unfortunately, we can not travel the country teaching, but there are many, many experts now who are more than capable. The Red Light Districts of Europe were a generation ago.  But the products we bring you now are the highest state of the art technology, and we continue to research and develop.  We continue to listen to your wish lists.  And we will, for a long time to come.
